Hi guys, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group and today we were going to ask, you know, answer the question of how much do dental implants cost? Um, look, it all varies. Um, what happens is it depends on the position of the implant. It depends on what type of implant we're using. It depends on how much work we have to do. Sometimes there's additional work, right? If there's an infected tooth, if we need to remove that, we have to do grafting. after grafting we have to wait a little and then place the implant. Um there's so many variables to it. Um the cost can vary. Um also your insurance depending on what insurance you have. You know how much are they covering? Are we in network? Are we out of network? There's so many different variables. So it's hard to give a price of how much a dental implant would cost. But there is a range and we work with the range depending on where, what, and how. So, please give us a call at New Jersey Dental Arts Group and I would love to answer your questions.

The cost varies depending on the number of implants, type of restoration, and any supporting procedures needed. A personalized estimate is provided during your consultation.

Recovery & Healing Timeline

Hi guys, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we wanted to talk about from the start of the implant to, you know, when you get it restored, what's the healing process? So, when you first get your dental implant, you're in about pain for a day. Some people don't even feel anything the way we place the implants. Um, but some people might feel just pressure and pain for a day. Um after placing the implants we see you in about 10 to 15 days just to see how you're healing posttop. Um and after that two week week period depending on the position of the implant depending on the density of the bone you know the timeline um is about 3 to 6 months. Sometimes it may take up to 9 months to make sure the bone heals really really well. And then we check the torque values. If the torque values are right where we want them to be it's ready for restoration. That's a great question. Uh, thank you. Keep asking questions at New Jersey Dental Arts Group.

Most patients return to normal activities within a few days. Full integration typically occurs over several months.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are dental implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts that replace missing tooth roots and support crowns or full‑arch restorations. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

Hi guys, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we wanted to discuss the basic concept of what a dental implant is. A dental implant has either two or three parts. Okay, the three parts of think of the root that's holding into the bone of your um uh mouth. The same concept with the implant. The implant has a titanium or ceramic part, the first part which goes into the bone. It's almost like a screw head. Um, and then once we put that, that has to heal around the bone. It usually takes from 3 to 6 months, sometimes up to eight months depending if there was infection or not. Then we have a second part that's called an abutman. An abutman connects the screw that's inside the bone to the outside so that we can put a crown on it. Um, and there's two different types of um, you know, implant retained crowns. There's one screw retained and there's one cemented. So the difference is one we can screw it in. So, if there's a problem, we can unscrew it, take all the parts apart, clean it up, and go for it. Um, the other ones are cemented where the abutment and the crown, um, I mean the implant are screwed in, and then we cement a crown. If you have more questions, give me a call. Thank you.

2. Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

Hi guys, this is Dr. Sawhney from New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we were going to take a talk about the process of how the whole process is from initial consultation of placing an implant to where we finally restore it. So the usually look there's ways we can do one step which everything is done in one appointment. I don't like to do it that way. I like to take multiple steps just to make sure each each step is done correctly and it heals well because it's important the body heals well with bone around it and once we get good torque on it that's when we go to restoration. So the steps are usually from uh initial I need about two uh two weeks to do the whole treatment planning to get your surgical guide made and everything. After that we go um you know place the implant. After that it's about a three month to six month process to let it heal. Once it heals then we place the final restoration. These are great questions. Keep asking them. Thank you.

9. How do implants compare to dentures or bridges?

Implants provide better stability, function, and bone preservation.

10. How do I care for my implants?

Brush, floss, and attend routine dental checkups just like natural teeth.
